Troy A. Allen

Graveside services for Troy A. Allen, 73, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Narrow Way Cemetery with Brother Bill Bailey officiating.

Mr. Allen was born June 5, 1941 in Lufkin, Texas to Ottis Leonard and Alberta (Crawford) Allen, and died Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at his residence.

Mr. Allen was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Cuban Missile Crisis and retired from Lufkin Industries following 24 years of employment as an electrician. Mr. Allen loved playing his guitar and singing the old songs. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Angela Williams of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Lance and Monica Allen of Corpus Christi; grandchildren, Christopher Williams, Benjamin Williams, Emily Williams, Joshua Williams, Nathaniel Allen, Johnny Allen, Lorynne Allen, Zachary Allen, Josh Ayers, Ryan Ayers, and Leah Allen; five great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, James and Rose Allen of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dianne Allen; son, Leland Allen; brother, Earl Allen; and sister, Barbara Winters.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Williams, Benjamin Williams, Joshua Williams, Daniel Flores, Johnny Allen, Zachary Allen, Josh Ayers and Ryan Ayers.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
