Jewel Evans Procella

Graveside services for Jewel Evans Procella, 88, of Huntington will be held Friday, May 1, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Jewel was born August 12, 1926 in Toro, Louisiana, to Harvie and Pearl (Davis) Evans, and died Wednesday, April 29, 2015 in Lufkin.

Mrs. Procella had resided in Huntington for more than two years and was a former resident of Bon Weir. Jewel was a homemaker and enjoyed dancing, fishing, being outdoors, and her two dogs, Lady and Tater. She was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include her daughter, Wanda Tolley of Austin; daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Jerry Baskette of Benbrook, and Charlotte and Bubba Kesinger of Bald Hill; grandchildren, Henry Kerr, Dewey Windham, Chris Tolley, Andrea Tolley, Chasity Murray and husband Ira, Julie Baskette Sisk and husband Tyler, and Rachel Baskette; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jewel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 25 years, Henry Procella; brother, Richard Evans; daughter, Veronica Jean (Miller) Blair; and grandson, Aaron Windham.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 West Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home in Huntington.
