Funeral services for Floyie LaVania Taylor, 87, of Lufkin will be held Friday, May 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Iola Church of Christ with Brian Reagan officiating. Interment will follow in the Willow Hole Cemetery in North Zulch.
Mrs. Taylor was born April 30, 1927 in Temple, Texas to George and Thekla (Keller) Wilcox, and died Sunday, April 26, 2015 in Lufkin. A resident of Mineral Wells for more than 25 years, she had resided in Lufkin for the last 2 1/2 years. Mrs. Taylor was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant, and enjoyed camping and reading. She was a former member of the Iola Church of Christ and a member of the North Oak Church of Christ in Mineral Wells.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph Taylor of Graford, Ronald and Janice Taylor of Elgin, Alan Taylor of Mineral Wells, Gary and Barbara Taylor of Lufkin, and Randall and Vicki Taylor of Kingsville; daughter and son-in-law, Tana and Donny Chappell of Cross; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Joe Lee Taylor.
Pallbearers will be John Chappell, Matthew Taylor, Justin Taylor, Brian Taylor, Kevin Taylor and Austin Taylor.
