Funeral services for Jean W. Stewart, 86, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Hunt officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the Glenwood Cemetery in Groveton. Mrs. Stewart was born December 1, 1928 in Groveton, Texas to George and Annie Jeanette (Allen) Wilson, and died Saturday, April 25, 2015 in a local hospital. Mrs. Stewart had resided in Lufkin since 1993. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and baking for others. Mrs. Stewart loved The Lord Jesus Christ and she was a generous person. She was a member of the Eastview United Pentecostal Church. Survivors include her sisters, Patsy Wilson of Kingwood and Bea Baker of Victoria; stepson, Ray Stewart, Jr. and wife Glenda of Atlanta, Georgia; numerous nieces and nephews; and her neighbors and church family. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Marion Bailey in 1967; second husband, Ray G. Stewart, Sr. in 1990; four brothers; and two sisters. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning prior to the services.
