Charles D. Dixon

Funeral services for Charles D. Dixon, 76, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Elton Musick officiating. Interment will follow in the Poskey Cemetery.

Mr. Dixon was born April 30, 1938 in Lufkin, Texas to B.D. and Eleanor (Hinson) Dixon, and died Friday, April 10, 2015 in a local hospital.

Mr. Dixon was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. He served in the U.S. Army and owned and operated Dixon Pest Control for more than 30 years. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening, and enjoyed pitching washers with friends. Mr. Dixon was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Dolores Dixon of Lufkin; daughter, Lesa Dixon Styles of Houston; sons and daughters-in-law, Jamie and Gretchen Stubblefield, Kevin Stubblefield, and Jeffrey and Lynette Stubblefield, all of Lufkin; grandchildren, Evan Paul Styles, Samantha Stubblefield, Andrew Stubblefield, Jessica Stubblefield, Jacob Stubblefield, Emily Stubblefield, Brandon Stubblefield, Sarah Stubblefield, and David Glawson; sister, Judy Holland of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Beamon Dixon.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
