Drucilla Cameron Massey

Graveside services for Drucilla Cameron Massey, 92, of Zavalla will be held Monday, April 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Tom Havard Cemetery with Reverend Linwood Dykes officiating.

Mrs. Massey was born March 11, 1923 in the Camp Ruby Community of Polk County, Texas to Tom and Sleetie (Shives) Cameron, and died Friday, April 10, 2015 in a Tyler hospice facility.

Mrs. Massey was a lifetime resident of Zavalla. She was a cook at Zavalla ISD for more than 30 years. Mrs. Massey was a member of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Rose Massey, David and Wonda Massey, all of Zavalla, W.M. and Marcia Massey of Colmesneil, and Carrol and Wanda Massey of Zavalla; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Robert Lockhart of Lindale; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Frances and Edwin Hopson of Goodrich and Lavelle Griggs of Garland; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mack Massey; and sister, Devilla Hollingsworth.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Massey’s grandsons.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Carroway Funeral Home in Huntington.
