Beatrice "Bea" Glover

Funeral services for Beatrice “Bea” Glover, 67, of Wells will be held Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Falvey Memorial United Methodist Church in Wells with Pastor David Goodwin and Tyler Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Bea was born December 6, 1947 in Galveston, Texas to the late Frank and Carmen Garcia, and died Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in a Houston hospital.

Mrs. Bea had resided in Wells since 1976. She earned a BA in Education from the University of Houston. She taught in Houston ISD before moving to Wells where she retired after teaching 24 years in Wells ISD. Mrs. Bea was a loving Nana and enjoyed sewing for her grandchildren. She served her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through Falvey Memorial United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Travis Glover of Wells; daughters, Mandy Scroggins, Heather Carpenter and husband Jason, all of Wells; son, Travis Lynn “Trae” Glover, Jr. and wife Lindsey of Wells; only grandson, Jackson Scroggins of Wells; granddaughters, Ashlea Jones, Ashbea Jones, Alexa Scroggins, Jaycee Carpenter, Shanna Glover and Brylee Glover, all of Wells; sisters, Mary Jane Wasson and husband David of Houston, Virginia Garcia of Galveston; and Teresa Villanueva and husband Mike of Santa Fe; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Mike Villanueva, C.W. Williams, James Blackwood, Jackson Scroggins, Tyler Smith, Joe Hodges, Dan Testyon and Slade Johnson.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
