Virgie Ruth "Sissy" Johnson Gordon

Graveside services for Virgie Ruth (Johnson) Gordon, 54, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Aldredge Cemetery in Lufkin with Pastor Don Schultheis and Pastor David Boyd officiating.

Mrs. Gordon was born December 6, 1960 in Lufkin, to Jack Johnson and Estelle (Burnett) Johnson, and died Friday, April 3, 2015.

Mrs. Gordon resided in Lufkin all of her life and was a homemaker. Virgie loved her friends and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed music and always had a radio on. Virgie cherished her animals.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Valarie Gordon of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and David Rangel of Huntington; son and daughter-in-law, John Thomas and Gina Gordon of Huntington; stepson, Cody Lovejoy and Mina of Houston; one and only true friend, Alton Lovejoy of Lufkin; grandchildren, Roy Gilbert, Cassidy Gordon, Raven Gordon, Taya Gordon, Kenzie Rangel, Jeremiah Rangel, Karly Rangel, and Kayden Lovejoy; brothers, Jackie Ray Johnson, Clinton Johnson, Jack Johnson, Jr.; sisters, Kathy Johnson and Marcy Gore; husband, Jimmy Gordon, Sr.; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Mrs. Gordon was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Thomas Johnson.
