J.V. Lazarine

Private graveside services for J. V. Lazarine, 90, of Lufkin were held Monday, April 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Moral Cemetery in Nacogdoches County, Texas.

Mr. Lazarine was born August 30, 1924 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Harvey Lazarine and Louise (Rodrigues) Lazarine, and died Saturday, April 4, 2015 in Lufkin.

He had resided in Lufkin for most of his life. Mr. Lazarine had worked as a firefighter and retired from the Lufkin Fire Department. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Susie and Jack Jordan of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Harvey and Barbara Lazarine of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Louana and J.R. Parker of Lufkin; daughter, Theresa Lazarine of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, John and Karen Lazarine of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Lucy and James Robinson of Lufkin; twenty-six grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Josephine Lazarine; granddaughter, Ashlee Ray; grandsons, Adam Weeks and John Craig Lazarine; great-granddaughter, Kaylee McAdams; 2 brothers, Jake Lazarine and Clifford Lazarine.
