Stacey J. Lackey

Memorial services for Stacey J. Lackey, 52, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Gavin Vaverek officiating.

Ms. Lackey was born November 13, 1962 in San Diego, California, to John D. Lackey and Elna (Burks) Lackey, and died Monday, March 16, 2015 in Lufkin.

Ms. Lackey had resided in Lufkin for most of her life. She worked as an RN for Woodland Heights Hospital and as a hospice nurse for more than thirty years. She enjoyed reading, and loved her dogs and rescuing animals. She loved her son and her granddaughter who called her “Regan”. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Survivors include her mother, Elna Lackey of Hudson; son, Hunter R. Lackey of Tyler; granddaughter Jaidyn Lackey of Hudson; niece, Avis Hill of Central; nephew, John D. Lackey, II of Crockett; great-nephew, John D. Lackey, III of Crockett; great-niece, Savannah Lackey of Crockett; great-nephew, Ian Hill of Central; great-niece, Wynter Hill of Central; aunts, Patsy Donaldson of Chester and Annette Johns of Houston; and her dear friend, Arthur Prejean of Lufkin.

She was preceded in death by her father, John D. Lackey and her sister, Shannon Lackey Emrick.
