Maxine Shivers

Graveside services for Maxine Shivers, 86, of Lufkin, will be held Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ryan Chapel Cemetery in Diboll with Brother Aaron Wilson and Brother Jerry Browning officiating.

Ms. Shivers was born December 31, 1928 in Angelina County, Texas to Haskell Arnold Shivers and Georgia Ann (Courtney) Shivers and died Friday, March 6, 2015 in a local hospital. She had resided in Angelina County all of her life.

Survivors include sister, Dovie Mitchell and husband Uthal of Lufkin; brothers, Glen Shivers of Diboll and Buster Shivers of Livingston; nephews, Mike Shivers and wife Rhonda of Diboll; Donnie Mitchell and wife Tracy of Lufkin, David Mitchell and wife Deborah, Edwin Shivers and Leo Shivers, all of Livingston; nieces, Sara Martin of Houston, Madilyn Flemming and husband Phillip, Gwenda Ann Lee and husband John, Grenita Duff and husband Lamar, Charlie Shivers and Melinda Gautreaux, all of Livingston.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Ethel Shivers; and brothers, Bobby Shivers and Edwin Shivers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Mitchell, David Mitchell, Michael Shivers, Edwin Shivers, Chad Mitchell and Nick Mitchell.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
