Dorothy M. "Dot" Allen

Funeral services for Dorothy M. “Dot” Allen, 64, of Pollok, will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Kitchen officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery.

Mrs. Allen was born June 20, 1950 in San Augustine, Texas to A.J. Burns and Connie (Bailey) Burns, and died Thursday, March 5, 2015 at her residence.

She had resided in Pollok for most of her life. She was a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Darlene Allen of Huntington, and Todd Allen of San Antonio; daughters and sons-in-law, Cristie and DeWayne Jacks, and Jada and Kevin Dickinson, all of Pollok; grandchildren, Brittny Davis and husband Josh, Kandis Allen, Brandi Allen, Stormi Holtzclaw, Kellie Allen, Felicia Richardson, Daylin Jacks, Dallas Jacks, Chloe Jacks, Alise Dickinson, Taylor Dickinson, and Jason Holtzclaw and wife Donna; great-granddaughter, Hadlee Davis; brother, C.J. Burns of Pollok, sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Thurman McDaniel of Chesapeake, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Edna Burns of Etoile and Kenneth and Angie Burns of Huntington, Earl and Peggy Burns and Gerald and Jessica Burns, all of Saratoga; sisters and brothers-in-law, Virgie and Ryan Riggins of Huntington, Jodie Blackburn of Washington, Becky and Gene Youngblood of Lufkin, Cathy and Eddie Peters of Huntington and Gayla Beavers of Florida; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Alfred “Pee Wee” Allen; her parents; a brother, Ronald Burns, and a sister Susan Burns.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Allen, Kevin Dickinson, DeWayne Jacks, C. J. Burns, John McDaniel and Kevin Keele.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
