Funeral services for Ralph H. Nerren, 76, of Huntington will be held Sunday, March 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Huntington First Baptist Church with Dr. Darryl Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Jonesville Cemetery.
Mr. Nerren was born March 1, 1938 in the Ora Community, Angelina County, Texas to John Russell and Opal (Freeman) Nerren, and died Thursday, February 26, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Nerren was a lifetime resident of Huntington. He owned and operated Ralph Nerren, Inc. for 25 years, then retired and spent the next 20 years fishing. He loved the outdoors and hunting. Mr. Nerren enjoyed watching his grandchildren in whatever they were involved in. He was a member of the Huntington First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Garleatha Nerren of Huntington; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Tony Ellington of Huntington; sons and daughters-in-law, Adam and Jannah Nerren and Chad and Cindy Nerren, all of Huntington; grandchildren and spouses, April and Ryan Soderquist, Molly and Wesley Weaver, Garrett Nerren, Claire Nerren, Bryndan Nerren, Logan Nerren and Kyle Nerren; great-granddaughter, Addyson Soderquist; brother and sister-in-law, John David and Misty Nerren of Huntington; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Shelbi Nerren; and sister, Edith Nerren Carrell.
Pallbearers will be Mr. Nerren’s grandsons.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening at Carroway Funeral Home in Lufkin.
