Barbara Elaine Brasuell

Graveside services for Barbara Elaine Brasuell, 74, of Hudson, will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Old Union Cemetery with Pastor Alex Montilla officiating. Mrs. Brasuell was born August 12, 1940 in Lufkin, Texas, to the late Ruth (Short) and Roy Hughes. She died Sunday, February 22, 2015 in a Lufkin hospice facility. Mrs. Brasuell had resided in the Hudson/Lufkin area all her life. She was retired from Brookshire Brothers Corporate Office where she was employed as the Produce Department Secretary for 15 years. She was a member of Cross Road Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, James Brasuell of Hudson; sons and daughter-in-law, Keith and Deidra Brasuell, Kevin Brasuell, all of Hudson; grandchildren, Erika Brasuell and Nicholas Brasuell; one great granddaughter, Jacie Westbrook; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Glenn Tomblin of Houston; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Memorial contributions in Barbara’s honor may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 West Frank Ave., Lufkin, Texas 75904.
