Funeral services for Alfred “PeeWee” Allen, 69, of Pollok will be held Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother James Kitchens and Pastor Ty Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery. Mr. Allen was born March 22, 1945 in Orange, Texas to Marce “Snoots” and Linnie (Wilder) Allen, and died Wednesday, February 18, 2015 in a local hospital. He resided in Pollok most of his life and was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Allen loved hunting and fishing, and was known for his “horse trading”. He was of the Pentecostal faith. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Dorothy Allen of Pollok; sons and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Darlene Allen of Huntington and Todd Allen of San Antonio; daughters and sons-in-law, Cristie and DeWayne Jacks and Jada and Kevin Dickinson, all of Pollok; grandchildren, Brittny Davis and husband Josh, Kandis Allen, Brandi Allen, Stormi Holtzclaw, Kellie Allen, Felicia Richardson, Daylin Jacks, Dallas Jacks, Chloe Jacks, Alise Dickinson, Taylor Dickinson, and Jason Holtzclaw and wife Donna; great-granddaughter, Hadlee Davis; brothers and sister-in-law, Marce and Glenda Allen of Pollok and Jack Allen of Houston; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Linwood Allen and Howard Allen. Pallbearers will be Kevin Dickinson, DeWayne Jacks, Glenn Burns, John McDaniel, C.J. Burns and Ryan Riggins. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75904. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
