Nelda Fae Cook

Funeral services for Nelda Fae Cook, 81, of Lufkin will be held Friday, February 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mrs. Cook was born October 19, 1933 in the Ora Community, Angelina County, Texas to Matt and Dorothy Mae (Babb) Holloway, and died Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at The Joseph House in Lufkin. Mrs. Cook resided in Lufkin most of her life and retired from Regions Bank. She was a member of Lufkin’s First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Loyd Cook of Lufkin; children and their spouses, David and Becky Cook of Lufkin, Lisa and Mike Dillon of Houston, Mark and Jeannie Cook and Kevin and Stephanie Cook, all of Lufkin; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, James and Helen Holloway of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Deborah Ann Roper; and grandson, Lt. Zac Cook. Pallbearers will be David Cook, Jr., Blake Cook, Will Cook, Hunter Cook, Hudson Cook and Michael Dillon. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Jansen Todd, Dr. Bramham Reddy and their staffs for all of the love and special care shown to Nelda during her lengthy illness. In addition, special thanks to The Joseph House and Affinity Hospice for the extraordinary care, love and support during her final days. Memorial contributions may be made to The Joseph House, P.O.
