Thelma Lorene (Flurry) Boulware

Funeral services for Thelma Lorene (Flurry) Boulware, 89, of Zavalla will be held Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Jackson Colwell and Brother Louie Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in the Zavalla Cemetery.

Mrs. Boulware was born October 5, 1925 in the Shawnee Prairie Community, Angelina County, Texas to Hoyt and Belle (Havard) Flurry, and died Tuesday, February 17, 2015 in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Boulware was a lifetime resident of Angelina County. She loved gardening, fishing, sewing and quilting. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Boulware was a charter member of the Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, John “Bob” and Janeice Boulware and Roger and Alice Boulware, all of Zavalla; grandsons and their wives, John Boulware, Jeffrey and Cathy Boulware, Jimmy and Tara Boulware, Clayton and Elizabeth Boulware, and Dewey Boulware, all of Zavalla; great-granddaughters, Lauren Oakley and husband John of Trinity, Brittany Fishar of Lufkin, Kristin Boulware and Bailey Boulware, both of Zavalla; great-grandsons, Thomas, Holden, Gus, Justin, and Jackson Boulware, all of Zavalla; great-great-granddaughters, Addison and Sophia; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Jean Flurry of Zavalla; sister, Irene Hendricks of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Franklin “T.F.” Boulware; two brothers; and one sister.

Pallbearers will be Robert Flurry, Linwood Flurry, Reggie Flurry, Ralph Hendricks, Ronnie Hendricks and Joe Hendricks.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Boulware’s grandsons.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church, 16663 FM 2109, Zavalla, Texas 75980.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Carroway Funeral Home in Huntington.
