Funeral services for Gloyce Greenville Pitts, 78, of Wells will be held Friday, February 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Wells with Pastor Josh Luellen officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Pitts was born July 4, 1936 in Wells, Texas to Arthur and Annie (Dunn) Greenville, and died Monday, February 16, 2015 at her residence.

Mrs. Pitts resided in Wells most of her life and retired from the data entry department at Sears. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Mrs. Pitts enjoyed cooking and working in her yard, and loved spending time with her family. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Kent and Janet Martin of Wells; daughters and sons-in-law, Ronda and Darryl Glover and Sharon and Jimmy Kirkwood, all of Wells; stepson and daughter-in-law, Lee and Trish Pitts of North Richland Hills; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Theresa and David Votaw of Tarkington; grandchildren and spouses, Janie and Jason Shumaker, Robin Bridges and fiancé Don Sanders, Melissa and Roger Redd, Kristi and Clay Parmer, Jenny Martin, Mandy Tobias, Eric and Jessica Tobias, Jeremy and Jennifer Pitts, Lauren and P.J. O’Brien, Christina and Lee Sanford, Mary Cooper, and J.J. Votaw; 26 great-grandchildren; sisters, Velma Gibson and Maxine McKnight, both of Wells; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Carroll, Vernon and Grady Greenville.

Pallbearers will be Tony McKnight, Eric Tobias, Jason Shumaker, James Greenville, Rann Parmer and Rhett Parmer.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Pitts’ nephews.

The family extends special thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice, Shelley Wallace, and Linda Skinner for their exceptional care of Gloyce.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
