Funeral services for Marjorie J. Dotson, 88, of Henderson, formerly of Pollok, will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Keith Bickley officiating. Interment will follow in the Pollok Cemetery. Mrs. Dotson was born March 14, 1926 in Forrest City, Arkansas to Hardie and Ruby (Taylor) Johnson, and died Sunday, February 15, 2015 in Henderson. An Angelina County resident for 50 plus years, she had resided in Henderson for five years. Mrs. Dotson retired from Internal Medicine Associates. Mrs. Dotson was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a friend to all. She had a positive outlook on life that spread to everyone she came in contact with. Mrs. Dotson was devout in her Christian faith. She was a member of Pollok Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Hardy and Suzanne Dotson of Henderson and Greg and Lisa Dotson of Hudson; grandchildren, Nolan Dotson, Conner Dotson, Blake Dotson and Alyssa Dotson; sisters and brother-in-law, Jimmie Cook and Patsy and J.C. Havard, all of Lufkin; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 55 years, Wyatt Dotson; and brother, Tommie Johnson. Pallbearers will be Nolan Dotson, Blake Dotson, Conner Dotson and Steve Cook. Memorial contributions may be made to Pollok Baptist Church, P.O. Box 85, Pollok, Texas 75969. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning at the funeral home.
