Carl Ray Vincent

Memorial services for Carl Ray Vincent, 60, of Huntington will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Reverend D. Nick Sholars officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. Mr. Vincent was born August 14, 1954 in Lockport, Illinois to Leroy and Bertha (Lindsay) Vincent, and died Wednesday, January 28, 2015 in a local hospice facility. Mr. Vincent was a truck driver for 23 years. Carl loved adventure. He traveled to work in Kuwait, Iraq and went on vacation in Thailand while overseas. He also visited Berlin, Germany. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was an avid woodsman. He loved carpentry and working on projects. He was a jack of all trades. Survivors include his wife, Monika Vincent of Huntington; son, Erick Vincent of Huntington; brother and sister-in-law, Charlie and Kay Vincent of Kentucky; sisters, Gladys Martin of Indiana and Jean Vincent of Virginia; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, James Doyle Vincent and Leroy Vincent. Honorary pallbearers will be Erick Vincent, Trace Fitzpatrick, Jeffrey Griffin, Rodney “Shorty” Christian, Paul Kramer and Ray Rolison.
