Lucile I. Morris

Graveside services for Lucile I. Morris, 90, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Largent Cemetery with Reverend Mark Livingston and Chaplain Dwayne Thornton officiating.

Mrs. Morris was born February 2, 1925 in Seymour, Texas to Charles Samuel and Verna Beatrice (Lyons) Plunkett, and died Monday, February 2, 2015 at her residence.

Mrs. Morris had resided in Lufkin 46 years. She had worked as a bookkeeper for B&B Tackle, Lyons Propane, and Cowboy Warehouse. Mrs. Morris was a volunteer for the Salvation Army and the Season’s Saints. She was a member of Kelty’s Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Pam Morris of Seymour; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Charlie Loftin of Lufkin; daughter-in-law, Debbie Morris of Hudson; grandchildren, Carey and Natalie Loftin, Cevin and Terrie Loftin, Amanda and Sam Wright, Dustin Morris and Ashley Morris; great-grandchildren, Hayden Sims, Sam Wesley Wright, Ryan Wright, Pierce and Michelle Loftin, and Hannah and Mason Malone; sister, Helen Cole of Garland; special family friend, Wallace Hobbs of Iowa Park; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob Morris; son, Kenneth “Kenny” Morris; and brothers, Robert Plunkett and Charles Plunkett.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
