Ronald Darr

Graveside services for Ronald Darr, 75, of Silsbee will be held Friday, January 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gann Cemetery with Brother Elton Musick officiating.

Mr. Darr was born October 14, 1939 in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania to Phillip Maurice and Dorothy Mae (Barry) Darr, and died Thursday, January 15, 2015 in Beaumont.

Mr. Darr retired as manager from Mirrer’s Trucking in Ozark, Arkansas. He loved driving race cars and was a lifelong NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed fishing and traveling. Mr. Darr loved his family.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Darr of Silsbee; daughters and son-in-law, Janis and Kenneth Sanches of Pollok and Rhonda Hudson of Carleton, Michigan; sons and daughter-in-law, Eddie D. and Martha Ann Peveto of Coldspring, Billy J. Peveto, and James E. and Christene Peveto, all of Silsbee; grandsons, Micheal Smith of Seattle, Washington, Ronnie Smith of Spring, Jeremy Peveto of Orange, Keith Peveto of Beaumont, and Josh Peveto of Lumberton; granddaughters, Misty Ford of Lumberton, April Sanches, Angela McGrath, both of Lufkin, and Marie Peveto of Beaumont; a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Dave Darr of Telford, Tennessee and Bobby and Brenda Staples of Greenville, Tennessee; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandy and Ronnie Pennel of Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania, Judy and Walter LaBar and Sue and Gary Cramer, all of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Kathleen Darr of Broadheadville, Pennsylvania; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Deborah Jean Hergert; brother, Thomas Darr; and the mother of his children, Dorothy Jean Darr.

Pallbearers will be Mr. Darr’s grandsons.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Friday at Carroway Funeral Home.
