Tommie Jean Fox

Graveside services for Tommie Jean Fox, 78, of Diboll will be held Friday, January 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan with Brother Dave Sarver and Brother Dwayne Greenwood officiating.

Mrs. Fox was born August 7, 1936 in Lufkin, Texas to Donnivan Hickman and Annis (Anderson) Hickman, and died Sunday, January 11, 2015 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Fox was a longtime resident of Diboll. She had worked at Lufkin Industries for more than 20 years as a clerk in the parts department. She loved playing bingo and was a member of Brother’s Keeper Church.

Survivors include her granddaughter, Amanda Pope and husband Barry of Diboll; grandson, Greg Long of Olean, New York; great-grandchildren, Dakota Pope, Riley Pope, Caleb Pope, Kane Long, Jules Long, Tairyn Long, Donnivan Long, and Joyce Long; son-in-law, Jerry McGuire of Pollok; step-grandchildren, Shan and Christie McGuire of Lufkin, Jeff McGuire of Longview and Stacie and Todd O’Neal of Dallas; sister, Dixie Humphrey and husband L. D. of Diboll; special niece, Wanda Mullins of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glen Fox in 2009; daughter, Dena McGuire in 2013; and sister, Donnie Jo Mewborn.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Thursday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
