Everett Taylor Miller, Jr.

Funeral services for Everett Taylor Miller, Jr., 55, of Etoile will be held Wednesday, January 14 2015, at 3:00 p.m. in the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Horace Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Taylor was born July 15, 1959 in Lufkin, Texas to Everett Taylor Miller, Sr. and LaFairse (Fairy) Miller, and passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 at his residence. Taylor enjoyed reading Popular Mechanics as well as repairing and creating things related to electronics. Not only did he enjoy listening to music, but he also excelled in playing several instruments including the electric guitar and drums. If Taylor wasn’t tinkering with electronics or playing music, he could be found at a work station building model planes that he would eventually fly. Taylor will be forever remembered for the music he loved and shared with his family and friends; he was a gentle soul and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include wife, Lana Sue (Dixon) Tullos of Etoile; daughters, Rhiannon Miller of Shreveport, LA and Taryn Miller of Fort Worth; son, Everett (Rett) Taylor Miller, III, of Nacogdoches; sisters, Janet Bates and husband Buddy of Tomball, Karen Neuman and husband Rick of Oakloan, TN, and Marianne Stovall of Coldspring; brothers, Kelly Miller of Huntington and Patrick Miller and wife Nikki of Hudson; and his mother, Fairy Miller of Hudson.

He was preceded in death by his father E.T. Miller.

Pallbearers will be family members including Kelly Miller, Patrick Miller, Rett Miller, Blaze Miller, Cole Miller, Buddy Bates and Barrett Bates.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Godtel Ministries, a local shelter, at 323 Moody Street, Lufkin, Texas 75901.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel.
