Carolyn Harden Ferguson Boles Bracey

Graveside services for Carolyn Harden Ferguson Boles Bracey, 96, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Whitehouse Cemetery with Brother Charles Roberts and Reverend Jeff Moats officiating.

Mrs. Bracey was born August 29, 1918 in Auglaize County, Ohio to Foster Harden and Audrey (Lutz) Harden and died January 7, 2015 at her residence.

She had resided in the Lufkin area for 25 years. She and her husband Ronald Ferguson served many years as lay missionaries through The Disciples of Christ Church. She was a homemaker, a gifted pianist and organist, and a member of First Baptist Church of Broaddus.

Survivors include her husband, James Bracey of Broaddus; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Robert (Bobby) Fruge of Lufkin; daughter and son “of the heart”, Pam Inman and Robert Boles of Lufkin; 8 grandchildren including Colleen Mauldin of Alaska, Wendy Quintana of Colorado, Greg Ferguson of Oregon, Liz Lowe of New Mexico, Anna Fruge of California, Robert Fruge, Tambrey Daddow and Amanda Miller, all of Texas; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; and her precious of friend of almost 90 years, Charlotte Hatsfield of Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald L. Ferguson; husband, Clyde Boles; sons, Delbert Ferguson and Ron Ferguson; grandson, Brian Ferguson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Fruge, Lief Daddow, Caleb Fruge, Samuel Daddow, Robert Fruge and Al Naquin.
