Memorial services for Mr. Willie W. Capps, 73, of Diboll will be held Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the Beulah Community Center. Private interment was held in the Ryan Chapel Cemetery.

Willie was born May 31, 1941 in Burke, Texas to Clarence Lee and Minnie Ruby (Moore) Capps, and died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 in a local nursing facility.

Willie was a lifetime resident of Diboll. He retired from Temple-Inland following 35 years of employment and was a very hard worker. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a lifetime member of the Ryan’s Lake Hunting Club. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Bobbie Capps of Diboll; children and their spouses, Richard M. and Connie Capps of Diboll, Sandi and Randy Burnette of Lufkin, Leslie and Willie Brown of Diboll, Jason and Laura-Beth Capps of Huntington, and Debbie and Chris Holcomb of Conroe; grandchildren and their spouses, Corey and Heather Brown, Nieccee and Javier Tapia, Sarah Burnette, William and Darla Capps, Georgia and Terry Wesley, Christina and Tyler Lewis, and Jazmine Capps; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
