Robert Benton Dunn

Funeral services for Robert Benton Dunn, 56, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ray Gilder officiating. Interment will follow in the Pollok Cemetery.

Mr. Dunn was born January 12, 1958 in Lufkin to Robert Dell Dunn and Georgia Mae (White) Dunn, and died Sunday, December 28, 2014 in a local nursing home.

Mr. Dunn had resided in Lufkin all of his life. He was a member of Allentown Congregational Methodist Church. He had worked as a machinist at Lufkin Industries for 37 years.

Survivors include his wife of ten years, Jodi Dunn of Lufkin; sons, Zachary Dunn and Benjamin Scott Cox, both of Lufkin; sister, Mary Lee Dunn of Lufkin; an aunt and uncle, Helen and Boe Freeman of Lufkin.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Mike Modisette, Ray Glaze, Steven Tolley, Jimmy Cook, Bobby Derrow and David Modisette.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Sanders and Dustin Mills.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 West Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75901.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
