Patricia Raven Ford

Funeral services for Pat Ford, 74, of Huntington, will be held Monday, December 29, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Cross Timbers Cowboy Church with Brother Ford Adkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Oddfellows Cemetery.

Ms. Ford was born September 15, 1940 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Darrell Blanton and Marie (Brown) Blanton, and died Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at her residence.

Mrs. Ford had resided in Angelina County since 1981 and formerly resided in Lexington, Oklahoma. She was a self-employed horse trainer and bookkeeper for Blanton Construction for 45 years. She came to East Texas to work in the family construction business along with her brother, Zane, and her mother. She was a devoted volunteer and worker at Cross Timbers Cowboy Church where she was a member and served as the Church Secretary for seven years. She also enjoyed her family very much and she desired to show God’s love and was thankful for his patience and watchful care. Mrs. Ford was a member of the Wounded Warriors Project.

Survivors include her daughter, Valerie Murphy of Huntington; sons and daughters-in-law, Marty and Elaine Hill of Jones, Oklahoma and Darrell and Trish Hill of Huntington; Tony Pimental of Edmond, Oklahoma who was “like a son”; grandchildren, B.J. Murphy, Barbara Murphy Barrett, Billy Walton, David Walton, Kelly Potter, Machelle Potter, Margie Havard, and their families; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and her church family at Cross Timbers Cowboy Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Onnie “Butch” Hill; father of her children, Onnie Hill; brother, Zane Blanton and daughter-in-law, Sindy Hill.

Pallbearers will be Michael Havard, David Walton, Billy Walton, B. J. Murphy, Cameron Murphy and Tony Pimental.

Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Shade and Bill Murphy.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cross Timbers Cowboy Church, 4977 U.S. 69 North, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the church.
