William M.L. "Bill" Wagner, Jr.

Graveside services for William M.L. “Bill” Wagner, Jr., 85, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Freeman Cemetery with Reverend Joe Kannampuzha officiating.

Mr. Wagner was born December 16, 1928 in Dallas, Texas to Lorna Mae (Horton) and William M.L. Wagner, Sr., and died Wednesday, December 3, 2014 in Sweeny, Texas.

Mr. Wagner served in the U.S. Army from 1945-1949. He retired from Lufkin Industries following more than 30 years as a draftsman. Mr. Wagner was a passionate HAM radio operator “N5DEE”. He was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Shawn Wagner of Sweeny; numerous grandchildren including Robert Wagner and wife Deira of Big Sandy, Angela Anderson and husband David of Sweeny, David Wagner and wife Velina of Houston, Craig Wagner and Cameron Wagner, both of Sweeny; stepsons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Lori Williams of Mansfield and Bob and Patricia Himmelreich of Winnemucca, Nevada; and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 56 years, Billie Laverne Wagner.
