Funeral services for Donald Elem Crick, 43, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Horace Fletcher officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. Mr. Crick was born February 20, 1971 in Houston, Texas, the son of Paul Joseph Crick and Mary Barber Crick. He died Sunday, November 16, 2014 in Lufkin from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Mr. Crick was an electrician and had been employed with Georgia Pacific for the past 10 years. He served his country in the United States Air Force and the United States Army. Mr. Crick was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing and duck hunting. Survivors include his wife, Bertha Crick of Lufkin; daughter, Madison Elizabeth Crick of Houston; stepdaughters, Nubia Hawkins and husband Daniel Joseph Hawkins, Jr. of Spring and Daisy Rojas of Lufkin; grandson, Daniel Joseph Hawkins III; mother and stepfather, James and Mary Tarver of Huntington; sisters and brothers-in-law, Tammy and Edward Kenner of Huntington, Jennifer Ann and Albert Rodriguez of Edinburg; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas H., Sr., and Connie Crick of Helotes, Texas; stepbrother, Ricky Tarver; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mr. Crick was preceded in death by his father, Paul Joseph Crick, and grandparents, Charlie and Leona Barber. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Kenner, Diesel Stanaland, Ricky Tarver, Jonathan Wiley, and Daniel Joseph Hawkins, Jr. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
