Patricia "Pat" Byrd

Funeral services for Pat Byrd, 81, of Lufkin, will be held Monday, November 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Pastor Mark Wilke officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Byrd was born January 8, 1933, in Mansfield, Arkansas to the late Lenora (Storzier) and Cleal Miller. She died Saturday, November 15, 2014 at her residence.

Mrs. Byrd had lived in Lufkin for the past 23 years, and was a former longtime resident of Port Arthur. She had been employed as an enrollment secretary with the Port Arthur I.S.D. for 20 years. Mrs. Byrd was a member of Carpenter’s Way Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Byrd of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Tom Dozier of Livermore, California, and Becky and Barry Forest of Flower Mound, Texas; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and brother and sister-in-law, Johnny V. and Jeannie Miller of Columbia, South Carolina.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Caleb Sunday School Class.

Memorial contributions may be made to either the Lottie Moon or Mary Hill Davis Mission Funds in care of Carpenter’s Way Baptist Church, 400 N. John Redditt Dr., Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
