Bonnie Ruth Windsor

A memorial service for Bonnie Ruth (Walton) Windsor will be held Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Ozias Missionary Baptist Church, 257 Ozias Rd, Huntington, Texas. It will be officiated by long time family friend, Pastor Royce Quave.
Mrs. Windsor was born August 3, 1944 in Nacogdoches. She was still very young when her family moved to the Brazosport area where she grew up and met her lifelong partner, William “Buddy” Earl Windsor. They spent more than 53 happy years together.
After 20 years, she retired from Mexia State School and settled here in Zavalla, Texas. They loved trapping hogs, deer hunting on Saron Hunting Club, and camping and fishing on Lake Sam Rayburn. They loved their three Dobermans and going to the Delta Downs.
Although unknown to many, she courageously fought a battle with cancer for 8 years. She was preceded in death by her son, Roger William, and her parents Roger H. and Hazel V. Walton.
Survivors include her spouse, William E. Windsor; daughter and spouse, Linda Stephenson and Paul Iwan; daughter and spouse, Lisa and Robert “Chris” Browning; grandchildren, Samantha Willson, Jarrett and wife Corina Browning, Anicia Browning and David Stephenson; great-grandchildren, Madison and Brianna Willson and Dalton and Christopher “Joey” Stephenson; siblings and spouses, include Max and Merilyn Walton, Mamie and Layton Davenport, and Hazel and Milton “Bubba” Sanders; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; special brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Bonnie Windsor; many other wonderful in-laws; special friends, Ruthie Day, Martha Collins, and Carrie and Adrian Windham, and many others.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the East Texas Chapter of the American Cancer Society, 212 Gene Samford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Carroway Funeral Home.
