Justin Ray Grimes

Funeral services for Justin Ray Grimes, 29, of Lufkin will be held Friday, October 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Nathan Pannell officiating. Interment will follow in the Grimes Cemetery. Justin was born August 29, 1985 in Port Neches, Texas, and died Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at his residence. Justin graduated from Corrigan High School. He loved hog hunting, fishing, and being in the outdoors. He was a member of the Still Waters Cowboy Church in Huntington. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Jessica (Lee) and Kirk Selman of Lufkin; father and stepmother, Bobby Ray and Sharon Grimes of Kyle; half-sisters, Kayla, Kelsey and Korie Grimes, all of Kyle; grandparents, Jessie and Carolyn Lee of Lufkin and Freddy and Judy Grimes of Beulah; step-grandparents, Billy Selman and Ruby Ard of Lufkin and David, Sr. and Lawinda Broaddus of Huntington; step-great-grandmother, Louise Currie of Corrigan; uncles and aunts, Joe and Sheila McDonald, Tim and Gabby Lee, all of Lufkin, Bronson and Susan Grimes of Chester, Kyle and Marcie Grimes, Kaylon Grimes, Michele Lightsey, all of Corrigan, David, Jr. and Aubra Broaddus of Huntington, Susie Selman and Vanessa Caron of Nacogdoches, Tresa Allen of Lufkin and Pops and Jean Kennedy of Corrigan; and numerous cousins, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Peter Burks, S.K. Burks, Paden Reed, Aston Lee, Dakota Lee and Meagan Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be P.D. “Fatman” Evans, Kevin “BooBoo” Havard and Adam Williams. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Northeast Texas Chapter, 1021 ESE Loop 323, Suite 300C, Tyler, Texas 75701. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
