Billie Yvonne Outlaw

Billie Outlaw, 85, of Zavalla, died Sunday, September 21, 2014 in a Lufkin hospital. She was born on February 1, 1929 in Beaumont, Texas to the late Myra Allyne (Williams) and Bert McDonald. Mrs. Outlaw had lived in Zavalla for the past 45 years and worked as a warehouseman for Kimco. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Billie left the following wishes: “The family of Billie Y. Outlaw would like to thank her and our friends who wanted to pay their last respects and offer sympathy. Her wish was that her body be cremated without viewing, and that she be allowed to go beyond this world as quietly and privately as possible. We are grateful for your condolences and would deeply appreciate your prayers and understanding.”

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, David Outlaw of Zavalla; daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Freddie Thorne of Groveton; daughter, Kathy Yost of Nebraska City, Nebraska; grandchildren, Brian Thorne and wife Pam of Groveton, Cody Wells of Nebraska City, Kim Thorne Bentley and husband Steve of Groveton, and Kelli Yost of Nebraska City; as well as numerous great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Stephen Kosako; and brother, Keith McDonald.
