Funeral services for Lee Hayes, Jr., 79, of Huntington will be held Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the Shawnee Church of Jesus Christ with Brother Cary Modisett officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery.

Mr. Hayes was born September 14, 1934 in Angelina County, Texas to Lizzie Mae (Dean) and Lee Hayes, Sr., and died Thursday, September 11, 2014 at his residence. He was a lifetime resident of Angelina County and a member of the Shawnee Church of Jesus Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Hayes of Huntington; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Denver Allbritton of Huntington; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Kimberly Hayes and Brady and Ruth Hayes, all of Huntington; granddaughters, Regan Allbritton, Shelby Allbritton, both of Huntington and Misty McClelland and husband Jason of Nacogdoches; grandsons, Michael Hayes and wife Elizabeth of Huntington, Taylor Hayes of Bryan and Tyler Hayes of Huntington; five great-grandchildren; sister, Lillian Lynch of San Augustine; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Megan Hayes; and brothers, Moye Hayes, I.D. Hayes and R.V. Hayes.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon prior to the services.
