Teresa Carrico Murphy

Funeral services for Teresa Carrico Murphy, 54, of Lufkin will be held Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Elton Musick officiating. Interment will follow in the Wheeler Cemetery near Corrigan. Ms. Murphy was born October 25, 1959 in Lufkin, Texas to Hilliard “Bill” Carrico and Murl (Byron) Hines, and died Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at her residence. She was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. Ms. Murphy was the office manager at Ewell Equipment for 20 years. She loved to crochet and was a member of the Wakefield Baptist Church. Survivors include her life partner, Kevin Wallace of Lufkin; daughters and son-in-law, Melissa and Kris King of Corrigan and Tami Wars of Lufkin; grandchildren, Brooke Wars, Sydney King, Kyle Wars, Luke King and Cameron Kesinger; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Honey Carrico of Groveton, Mickey Carrico, and Royce and Geri Lea Carrico, all of Corrigan; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Stephen McKenna of Humble; best friend, Robin Wanner of Lufkin; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents. Pallbearers will be Kyle Wars, Luke King, Brian Carrico, Keith Wright, Justin Helton, Matt Brown and Jeremy Carrico. Honorary pallbearers will be David Carrico, Mickey Carrico, Royce Carrico, Kris King, Josh Carrico and Patrick Blair. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 212 Gene Samford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday morning prior to the services.
