Mary Lita Fontenot Windham

Graveside services for Mary Lita Fontenot Windham, 54, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Whitehouse Cemetery with Brother Horace Fletcher officiating.

Mary was born April 11, 1960 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Euell and Gloria (Bourque) Fontenot. She died Monday, September 1, 2014 at 5:52 p.m. in a local hospital.

Mary worked at Memorial Medical Center of East Texas as a nurses aide and as a unit secretary for a number of years. She was devoted to her husband, her children, and grandchild. Mary loved to read. Her faith was in God. She lived in Lufkin all her life.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, David Louis Windham; son, Christopher David Windham; daughter, Crystal Marie Windham; granddaughter, Destinie Marie Windham; grandmother, Lizzie Bourque Darbonne; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Andrea Fontenot; brothers-in-law, Douglas Windham and Luther Bynum; sisters-in-law, Barbara Thorman and Brenda Sands; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Windham was preceded in death by her sisters, Deborah Davenport and Pamela Bynum; grandfather, Regis Bourque; uncle, Larry Bourque; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bates and Eva Windham.

The family extends special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Memorial Medical Center for their excellent care and support.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
