Sue Lowery Bridges

Memorial services for Sue Lowery Bridges, 93, of Huntington will be held Monday, August 18, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at the Huntington First Baptist Church with Dr. Darryl Smith and Grady Lowery officiating.

Mrs. Bridges was born January 12, 1921 in Etoile, Texas to Ephraim and Lucy (Wells) Lowery, and died Friday, August 15, 2014 at her residence.

Mrs. Bridges had resided in Huntington since 1971, after many years of living at various U.S. Air Force bases in the United States, Okinawa, Japan, and Germany with her husband, Wyman. She was a member of the Huntington First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Tracey and Nancy Bridges of Louisville, Kentucky and Steve and Joyce Bridges of Sierra Vista, Arizona; sister, Bonnie Haney of Huntington; brothers, Lester Lowery, Giles Lowery and Elvin Lowery, all of Huntington; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wyman M. Bridges; and brothers, Cecil, Grady, Kirby, Pete and Herbert Lowery.

Pallbearers will be Joe Lowery, Mark Lowery, Rex Lowery, Randy Lowery, Lane Lowery and Tim Haney.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ernest DePaoli, Bobby Lowery and Hayden Smith.
