Odelle Cockrell Moore

Graveside services for Odelle Cockrell Moore, 97, of Wells will be held Monday, August 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Brookside Memorial Park in Houston with Chaplain Bob Harbuck officiating.

Mrs. Moore was born October 27, 1916 in Joaquin, Texas to Johnny A. and Zella (Wood) Cockrell, and died Thursday, August 14, 2014 in a local nursing home. Formerly of Houston, she had resided in Wells for seven years. She was a supervisor at Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. for 30 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pasadena.

Survivors include her great-niece, Sherry Conway and husband Eddie of West Columbia; great-great-niece, Hilliary Mitchell and husband Bobby; and great-great-great nephews, Keagan French, Jaymie French, Tristin Doss and Trace Doss.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl B. Moore; sisters, Betty Sapp and Lurline Stuckey; and niece, Esther King.

The family extends special thanks to Wells LTC, Heart to Heart Hospice, and Chaplain Bob Harbuck for their care of Mrs. Moore.
