Mary Lou Vaughn Marino

Funeral services for Mary Lou Vaughn Marino, 80, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Bob Harbuck officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mrs. Marino was born April 16, 1934 in Comanche, Texas to the late Vada (Johnson) and Boyce Vaughn. She died Monday, August 11, 2014 in a Lufkin nursing facility. Mrs. Marino was a retired home health provider. She attended Freewill Baptist Church. Formerly of Fort Worth, Mrs. Marino had lived in Lufkin for 38 years. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Vada and Kenneth Hughes of Lufkin, Pete and Carol Marino of Balmorhea, Texas, David and Melanie Marino of Palestine, and Melissa and Patrick Eddings of Chireno; grandchildren and their spouses, Joshua and Sandra Hughes, Heather Hughes, Paul Marino, Clay and Monica Marino, Will and Holly Marino, Anna Marino, Jessica and Jonathan Jenkins, Thomas and Morgan Eddings, and Wesley and Janie Eddings; fifteen great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Robert Garbs of Lufkin; brother, Gaylon Vaughn of Victoria; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mrs. Marino was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Pete Marino, in 1993. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Marino’s grandsons. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart to Heart Hospice, 209 Christie Street, Lufkin, Texas 75904. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
