Syble Hays Mcknight Jordan

Funeral services for Syble Hays McKnight Jordan, 90, of Wells will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Frank Young officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Ms. Jordan was born June 4, 1924 in Minden, Rusk County, Texas to Frank and Gertie (McCallum) Hays, and died Sunday, June 22, 2014 at The Joseph House in Lufkin. She moved to Wells when she married Curtis McKnight in 1945. She was a member of the Baptist church.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Barbara McKnight and Wayne McKnight, all of Wells; daughter and son-in-law, Carrol and Roy Pinner of Huntington; grandchildren, Jason McKnight, Stacy McKnight, Robby McKnight and Dana Reynolds, all of Wells, Donna Young and Curt Pinner, both of Huntington; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sisters-in-law, Eva Hays, Jeanine Hays, Bernice McKnight and Gladys McKnight; and numerous other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Jordan was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis McKnight; brothers, Durwood Hays, Tommy Hays and Brown Hays; and sister, Bessie Bell Rodriguez.

Pallbearers will be Curt Pinner, Tracer Young, Stacy McKnight, Robby McKnight, Jake Greenup and Donald Hays.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the Affinity Hospice staff, especially Margie and Alex, and the staff at The Joseph House for their loving care.
