Stephan Lee Dorsett

Funeral services for Stephan Lee Dorsett, 63, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Elton Musick officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery.

Mr. Dorsett was born June 5, 1951 in Norfolk, Virginia to Shields and Shirley (Peed) Dorsett, and died Thursday, June 19, 2014 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Mr. Dorsett served in the U.S. Navy and was employed with S&W Paint and Body. He had resided in Lufkin 25 years and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Dorsett of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law,  Adam and Rita Dorsett of Toney, Alabama; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Allan Riddle of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Clay Carter of Houston, Brett and Beth Carter of Lufkin, and John and Ana Carter of Texas City; grandsons, Wayne Carter, Jonathan Carter, Chris Carter, Dylan Carter and Klayton Kline; granddaughters, Kara Carter and Corie Riddle; great-grandchildren, Kamden Carter and Kenna Carter; sisters, Sheila Ramey, Diane Tubbs and Sharlene Garrett; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Steve Dorsett.

Pallbearers will be Clay Carter, Wayne Carter, Brett Carter, John Carter, Allan Riddle, Wendell Matchett and Dack Finnel.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Grimes, Bo Madden, Jerry Payne and Carl Ellis.
