Hollis Arlin Marshall

Funeral services for Hollis A. Marshall, 52, of Zavalla, will be held Sunday, June 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Cary Modisett. Interment will follow in Boykin Cemetery.

Hollis was born June 30, 1961 in Lufkin, Texas to H.L. (Red) and Bonnie (Lock) Marshall. He passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at his residence.

Hollis was a lifelong resident of Zavalla. He was a retired logger and enjoyed fishing, hog hunting, riding horses, and visiting with friends. He never met a stranger. Hollis was a Christian and loved the Lord.

Hollis is survived by his wife of 15 years, Betty (Pride) Marshall; sons, Trey Marshall and Trevor Marshall; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Courtney Havard, Ryan and Kasey Havard; daughter, Andrea Marshall; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Marvin Sullivan; sister, Vicky; eight grandchildren; mother-in-law, Audrey Pride; and numerous other relatives and friends. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Hollis was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Randy Marshall and Tony Marshall; and cousins, Troy Marshall and Clifton Marshall.

Pallbearers will be Jason Carrell, George Cryer, Jr., Richard Havard, Ryan Havard, Johnny Leviness, and Chase Marshall.

Honorary pallbearers will be George Griffin and Larry Joiner.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 12:30 p.m. until service time Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
