Kenneth W. "Kenny" Morris

Funeral services for Kenneth W. “Kenny” Morris, 58, of Hudson will be held Monday, June 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tony Holder officiating. Interment will follow in the Largent Cemetery.

Mr. Morris was born April 7, 1956 in Wichita Falls, Texas, and died Friday, June 6, 2014 in a Houston hospital, from injuries sustained in an industrial accident.

Mr. Morris had resided in Hudson for 36 years and was an electrician at Georgia-Pacific for 20 years. He was a member of the Clawson Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Morris of Hudson; daughters and son-in-law, Amanda and Sam Wright and Ashley Morris, all of Hudson; grandchildren, Hayden Sims, Sam Wesley Wright and Ryan Wright; mother, Lucile (Plunkett) Morris of Lufkin; brother, Charles Morris of Seymour; sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Charlie Loftin of Lufkin; mother-in-law, Hazel Smith of Buna; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Ricky and Lisa Smith and William Smith, all of Buna; lifelong friends, John and Donna Hedgepath of Hudson; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Morris; granddaughter, Rebekah Lynn; and father-in-law, Milton Smith.

Pallbearers will be Felix Beasley, Marvin Best, Ronald Preston, Jason Sims, Tommy Largent and John Wesley Hedgepath, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be his co-workers at Georgia-Pacific.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
