Lynn Glover Henderson

Funeral services for Lynn Glover Henderson, 56, of Lufkin, will be held Monday, June 2, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Reverend Horace Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow in Aldredge Cemetery.

Mrs. Henderson was born October 17, 1957 in Kountze, Texas to the late Claudie M. (Collins) and Edward Daniel Sumrall. She died Friday, May 30, 2014 at her residence.

Mrs. Henderson was retired from Memorial Medical Center following 33 years of service as a registered nurse and nurse supervisor. She put herself through school, worked full-time, and raised a family. During her tenure at the hospital, she made many friends, and considered them her family. Mrs. Henderson was a huge animal lover. She married her childhood sweetheart, after reconnecting with him following many years apart. Mrs. Henderson was of the Baptist faith, and had lived in Lufkin for more than 40 years.

She is survived by her husband, Jackie Henderson of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Kristy Stockman of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Miranda and Andy Jacot of Lufkin; grandchildren, Kristen Killingsworth, Kaylee Stockman, Jacob Hufstetler, Angellee, Donavan and Jace Jacot, James and Kris Henderson; sister and brother-in-law, Kay James-Dunn and husband Dickie of Lufkin; brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Brandie Sumrall; nieces, Lindsey Baxter and husband Chris, Lacie Ross; great nephews and great niece, Clayton, Cody and Caydee Ross; her beloved dogs, Gizmo and Gidget; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Henderson was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Pallbearers will be Chris Baxter, Wes Deel, Joe Delasandro, Donald James, Marvin Hutton, and Andy Jacot.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
