Lin Smyrl

Graveside services for Lin Smyrl, 60, of Lufkin, will be held Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the Aldredge Cemetery with Brother Elton Musick and Brother Chad Musick officiating.

Mr. Smyrl was born August 27, 1953 in Fort Worth, Texas to Clarence O. and Mary Lynn (Williams) Smyrl, and died Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at his residence. A former resident of Dallas and Fort Worth, he had resided in Lufkin for 14 years. Mr. Smyrl was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Smyrl of Lufkin; nephews, Chad Musick and Cody Musick, both of Lufkin; niece, Brandy Green and husband Jon of Lufkin; two great-nephews; and one great-niece.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence O. Smyrl; and sister, Karen L. Musick.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
