Funeral services for Wayne Scott Kelley, 44, of Rockwall, will be held Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother Jimmy Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in the Berry Cemetery.
Mr. Kelley was born February 10, 1970 in Lufkin, Texas to Helen (Armstrong) and the late Sammy Madden. He died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Kelley was the owner of Rockwall Pools, and was a former Nacogdoches police officer. He had served as a wrestling and football coach, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Mr. Kelley was a devoted father, son and brother.
He is survived by his children, Cody Kelley, Kindle Kelley, and Corey Kelley, all of Rockwall; mother and stepfather, Helen and Charles “Bull” Smith of Lufkin; brother and sister-in-law, John and Tasha Melton of Etoile; sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Terry Collins of Nacogdoches, Connie and Lee Cleghorn of Tomball; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mr. Kelley was preceded in death by his father, Sammy Madden, and brother, David Melton.
Pallbearers will be Mark Bentley, Patrick Bentley, Charles Segrest, Johnny Cain, Roland Brent, T.J. Garber, and John Dwayne Melton.
