Diane King Luce

Funeral services for Diane King Luce, 56, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Joe Stanley and Reverend Josh Reneau officiating. Interment will follow in the Berry Cemetery.

Mrs. Luce was born September 14, 1957 in Angelina County, Texas to Eugene and Reba Louise (Burns) King, and died Monday, May 5, 2014 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Luce was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. She was a childcare giver for more than 30 years, taking care of more than one generation in some cases. Her favorite pastimes were hunting, camping, and visiting with friends and family. She was known for her generosity and kindness. Mrs. Luce was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Lufkin.

Survivors include her husband, Randal Luce of Lufkin; daughters and son-in-law, Brandy and Daniel Nabors and Casey Ann Luce, all of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Naomi Luce of Austin; granddaughters, Graci Marie Lambert of Huntington and Allison Nabors of Lufkin; grandsons, James Wriley Lambert of Huntington, Grant Nabors of Lufkin and Elijah Luce of Austin; father, Eugene King of Lufkin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Floyd and Pat King of Lufkin and Tracy and Gloria King of Navasota; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Neal Stephens of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Reba Louise (Burns) King; and daughter, Lisa Marie Luce.

Pallbearers will be James Headrick, David McCall, James Goodwin, Jim McDonald, David Ashby and Sonny Ashby.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Pentecostal Church Building Fund, 3200 S. Medford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75901.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
