Mrs. Stringer was born January 28, 1947 in Tyler County, Texas to Junis and Rosa (Leviness) Sawyer, and died Sunday, April 27, 2014 at her residence.

Mrs. Stringer resided in Huntington. She was an avid bass fisherman and traveled across the United States fishing in tournaments; she enjoyed nothing more than being on the water. She loved watching the sun rise and sitting on the deck drinking coffee with Shorty, Neenj and Pops.

Mom had a love for her kids and grandbabies like no other. There was absolutely NO SPANKING at Nanny’s house. Anyone who ever pulled up on the bank or came over to their home loved mom’s cooking. She always made the best homemade pies for all the kids, who loved her.

Mom always wanted “One Last Cast”.
