Dana R. Westbrook, 62, of Pollok died Friday, April 25, 2014 in a local hospital. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Westbrook was born September 16, 1951 in Lufkin, Texas to James and Edith (O’Quinn) Westbrook. He was a lifetime resident of Pollok and had been employed with the City of Lufkin for ten years. Mr. Westbrook enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outside, and mowing on his tractor. He loved spending time with his family and standing around a fire telling stories. His laughter will be missed by all who knew him. He thought it was important to tell his children he loved them every time he talked to them.

Survivors include his wife, Christy Westbrook of Pollok; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeremy and Rachel Westbrook, Josh Westbrook, all of Lufkin, and Brian and Teva Boothe of Nacogdoches; and daughter and son-in-law, Alissa and Jeremy Pyeatt of Central; He was PaPa Dana to his grandchildren, Jacie Westbrook, Wrex and Fox Boothe, Andrew and Julia Pyeatt; sisters and brother-in-law, Phylis McIntyre and Frankie and Roger Gibson, all of Central; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
